Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Our eight-bed PICU is staffed by a team of high-level healthcare professionals and features the most advanced equipment to meet the needs of the most critically ill young patients. The unit is under the direction of pediatric intensivists and a wide range of pediatric specialists are available to care for the needs of your child. We hope you can rest easier knowing there is a dedicated team of pediatric specialists in your community.

PICU features include:

  • Pediatric intensivists dual-boarded in pediatrics and critical care medicine available in-house for continuous communication with physician and family/li>

  • Nurses specializing in pediatric critical care medicine, sedation and invasive procedures

  • A variety of oral, rectal and intravenous medications approved for pediatric sedation

Family-focused pediatric care

We understand that, as a parent, you are the most important voice in your child’s care. Our pediatric specialists and nursing staff will actively communicate any treatment plans and information about your child’s condition. We will work with you to ensure you are able to care for your child effectively at home after they are released from the hospital.

Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)

Our Level III nursery provides the highest level of care available for newborns. As parents, we know you will have many questions and concerns when there are complications after pregnancy. Families are key members of the NICU team, and we want you to be involved in your baby's care. We encourage you to visit your baby often and we welcome questions anytime.

Working together, we can give your baby the love and care needed to get well. The NICU team includes physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists and other healthcare workers who are highly experienced in the care of sick newborns. This skilled team will care for your baby, answer your questions, and be available to assist you during this difficult time.
