Thank you for your interest in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at the HCA West Florida GME Consortium/Brandon Regional Hospital. We acquired our Initial Accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and accepted our first class of residents in July, 2018. Our OB-GYN Program at Brandon Regional Hospital (BRH) will have 20 residents when it reaches its full complement.

As a four-year program, each year we accept five residents with the aim to educate and train the generation of OB-GYN doctors through rotations, which in addition to general obstetrics and gynecology include maternal-fetal medicine (high-risk pregnancy), gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery.

Additionally, our program provides a variety of teaching experience from accomplished faculty throughout the Tampa Bay region. This faculty and others afford our residents the opportunity to learn and grow not only as part of their clinic and office rotations, but also through a weekly five-hour didactic program which includes lectures, grand rounds, journal clubs, MDCC, ACOG Bulletin review, M&M, simulations, sutures and more. This protected time also encompassed CREOG review, scholarly activities and research projects. Residents are expected to complete one each year of their residency.

Additional perks: fifteen days of vacation/sick time, yearly food stipend, leadership opportunities through Resident Advisory Panel and Hospital Committees and funding for participation in local, regional and national conferences (available upon request).

At BRH, we are committed and dedicated to delivering healthcare within an environment that is patient-centered for women's healthcare and the betterment of human life.
