Welcome From Our Chief Medical Officer
Joseph Corcoran, D.O.
Cheif Medical Officer
Welcome to Brandon Regional Hospital’s Graduate Medical Education department. We are excited that you are interested in our residency programs. Our goal at Brandon Regional is simple: to be the training site of choice for residents who value the education available only in a community hospital setting. With 422 beds, a “Top 5 busiest” ER in Florida, and all the resources of HCA Healthcare behind us, there is nothing which should keep us from being the premier destination for physicians-in-training. And did I forget to mention the amenities that come with living in the Tampa Bay region?
Our programs are designed to develop attending physicians who are at the top of their game but who also understand the complex experience of being a patient. Our graduates will be compassionate, data-driven, & skilled clinicians, as well as future leaders in their disciplines. They’ll have access to a myriad of fellowships but also have an inside track to job placement opportunities at more than 170 HCA facilities in 22 states. HCA Healthcare is rich with data which presents our residents a nearly limitless opportunity to test innovative theories about patient care.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, the Medical Staff and our associates, we are honored to extend this invitation to explore our post-graduate medical education programs. We are committed to supporting your professional development and excellence in residency training and research.
We look forward to working with you to achieve your professional goals.
