Salvador Villanueva, MD, FACEP
Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director

Welcome from our Program Director

Thank you for your interest in our newly accredited Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Brandon Regional Hospital. We look forward to the opportunity to meet with candidates and find our future residents, graduates and emergency physicians. We are dedicated to the highest standards for educational excellence in Emergency Medicine. Our program will provide residents the experience, knowledge and clinical skills to excel as an emergency medicine physician. With the combined resources of Brandon Regional Hospital and Blake Medical Center, we will be able to offer a well-rounded emergency medicine training experience, with exposure to Trauma, Pediatrics and two very busy emergency departments. As part of our core faculty, we will have a Research and Curriculum Director, Ultrasound Director and Simulation Director to contribute to a well-rounded curriculum in Emergency Medicine. We also are fortunate to be a program under the sponsorship of the HCA West Florida GME Consortium – giving us extensive resources available in the areas of scholarly activity and clinical excellence.

We look forward to meeting new applicants and our future residents and leaders as we build this program and serve this community with high-quality emergency care.
