Brandon, FL – A wide range of volunteer opportunities are now available with the Brandon Regional Hospital Auxiliary. In particular, Patient Dispatch (transport) volunteers are needed as well as those in Patient Services, the Gift Shop, and Cart, Information Packet Assembly, the Information Desk and a wide range of clerical areas. Over 230 volunteers have already chosen to volunteer at Brandon Regional Hospital and play a vital role in caring for its patients. Additional opportunities are available in morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.
The Brandon Regional Hospital Auxiliary was founded in 1977 and has expanded its role and programs to keep pace with the needs of a rapidly growing community. In the past 12 months Brandon Regional Hospital volunteers have devoted 48,843 hours to assisting patients and staff. In addition the Auxiliary has provided over $35,000 in scholarship grants as well as an additional $12,500 to local charities.
