Brandon, FL — Residents of Brandon and nearby areas now have faster access to emergency care. Brandon Regional Hospital recently unveiled its expanded emergency department (ED), featuring 13 new exam rooms, four new trauma rooms, an ambulance entrance and a helipad. Patients can also receive X-rays and other imaging procedures directly in the ED, helping ensure faster care.
Brandon Regional, an HCA West Florida hospital, treats more than 120,000 patients in its ED each year. With the expansion, the hospital will continue to meet the needs of this growing community with high quality and convenient emergency care.
“As one of the busiest emergency departments in Florida, we are always seeking new ways to treat patients more efficiently while maintaining our high quality of care,” said Brandon Regional Hospital CEO Bland Eng. “Expanding our space improves the patient experience and allows us to better serve our community.”
The final phase of the hospital’s $60 million ED expansion will include a 16-room pediatric emergency department, slated for completion in November 2017.
