First responders and hospital caregivers team up for free community event
The Pediatric Center at Brandon Regional Hospital will host a COVID-19 safe drive-thru Jack-O’-Lantern Extravaganza from 7pm to 9pm on Friday, October 16 along the Pediatric Emergency Room driveway. Participants may enter from 500 Vonderburg Drive and follow the signs.
This free family event will feature illuminated pumpkins carved by Hillsborough County Emergency Medical Services stations, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and caregivers from Brandon Regional Hospital. Attendees can vote for their favorite carved pumpkin on the Brandon Regional Hospital Facebook page at facebook.com/BrandonRegionalHospital. The winning team will be announced on the page on Monday, October 19.
“The pediatric team at Brandon Regional Hospital is excited to join with other community healthcare and frontline heroes to provide families a safe and fun event,” said Robert Truckner, MD, Medical Director, Pediatrics Emergency Medicine. “I’ve been assured the carvings will be exceptional, as the competition heats up for the Carver title.”
The event will also feature spooky Halloween decorations, goodie bags with candy for children and an ambulance on display.
Brandon Regional Hospital is located at 119 Oakfield Drive, Brandon, FL 33511.
