Brandon, FL – On Friday, February 6, Brandon Regional Hospital celebrated Go Red for Women Day to honor women’s heart health. For the third year in a row a newborn baby girl and her mom were showered with Go Red gifts courtesy of Brandon Regional Hospital and Macy’s. (Macy’s is the national sponsor for this particular American Heart Association campaign.)

Go Red for Women is part of the American Heart Association’s solution to help save lives. With one out of three women still dying from heart disease, Brandon Regional Hospital is committed to fighting this number one killer, which is largely preventable. GoRedForWomen.org, a premier source for education and information, connects millions of women of all ages and gives them tangible resources to turn personal choices into life saving actions. The movement is nationally sponsored by Macy’s and Merck & Co., Inc., and locally sponsored by Brandon Regional Hospital.
