Brandon Regional Hospital
Baby Place
The Baby Place at Brandon Regional Hospital is one of the area's largest and most comprehensive obstetric programs, which includes high-risk obstetrics and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) services.
Blood Bank
Blood is supplied to the hospital by BloodNetUSA, Inc. Donations may be made at one of BloodNetUSA's branch centers, including the Brandon branch at 1905 W. Brandon Blvd., 684-3326. BloodNetUSA's services include Directed Donations where families and friends may donate to an individual and Autologous Donations where an individual may donate their own blood for personal medical needs.
Cardiac Surgery
Surgical services are performed by a group of bay area board certified cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons, with the support of an experienced multidisciplinary team. This state-of-the art center features, surgical waiting rooms, an 8-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit and a 30-bed Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit.
Cardiology
The hospital's cardiology program is composed of individuals dedicated to the study, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. A wide range of interventional cardiac procedures are performed in five modernly equipped cath labs.
Community Education
Ongoing community education programs include Basic First Aid, BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR, Community CPR, and Gestational Diabetes. For more information and to register, please contact our Education Department at 571-5112.
Critical Care (Adult)
Four specialized critical care units provide optimum and individualized care for adult patients who require intensive, highly sophisticated observation and treatment. These units are Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVICU), Coronary Care (CCU), Medical Intensive Care (MICU) and Surgical Intensive Care (SICU).
Diagnostic & Rehab Center
This Center is located directly across the street from the hospital, on the east side of Parsons Avenue. The Center offers a wide range of outpatient diagnostic studies and rehabilitation services.
Diagnostic Imaging/Radiology
A full range of diagnostic imaging services including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and CT Scans are available on-site where hospital inpatient testing, STAT orders, emergency studies and more complex studies are performed.
Dietary Consults
Hospital dietitians are available for consults with the appropriate physician referral. For more information, you may contact the dietitans at 571-5178.
Emergency Services
The hospital's emergency department includes three separate services during peak emergency visit hours: Adult, Pediatric and Fast Track. Emergency care is available around the clock.
Interventional Radiology
This department offers state-of-the-art equipment and highly trained staff in the care and treatment of patients needing arteriograms, peripheral angioplasty, stent placement, thrombolysis and other interventional procedures. For more information, call 571-5167.
Laboratory
A full-service laboratory is available on-site and a convenient draw station is located in the outpatient Diagnostic & Rehab Center. Services provided include blood bank, chemistry, hematology, histology/cytology, microbiology, pathology and phlebotomy.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Brandon Regional Hospital offers Level II and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) Service, the highest level available. It is under the medical direction of a Neonatalogist, a Pediatrician with special training in the care of sick newborns.
Pediatrics
The Pediatrics staff is committed to meeting the unique needs of children and their families. Parents are encouraged to play an active role in the care of their child throughout hospitalization.
Rehabilitation Services
Physical, occupational and speech therapy services, which cover a wide range of neurological, orthopedic, medical and surgical conditions are available to hospitalized patients. Outpatient rehabilitation services are also available at the hospital's Diagnostic & Rehab Center.
Surgical Services
The hospital's surgical facilities include 12 operating rooms, two cardiovascular operating rooms, and endoscopy suite, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and the outpatient DaySurgery service.
